A personalised gift-card making: written in Chinese
Where: This workshop will be hosted at Winchester Arc Library, Arc Space 1
When: 2pm to 4pm Saturday October 25
Highlights: As the last session of this series, in this workshop, we tried to give participants more freedom to practice the words they would like to learn. Everyone enjoyed creating some unique gift cards for friends and family for the coming Christmas and New Year.

A journey into your Chinese Zodiac and Five Elements
Where: This workshop will be hosted at Winchester Arc Library, Arc Space 1

Hightlight: Recap of the basics of Chinese calligraphy, with a focus on introducing Chinese zodiac signs and five elements. Featured activities include 'What's my Chinese zodiac sign and element and how to read and write them'

A taste of Chinese Poetry through Calligraphy
Where: This workshop was hosted at Winchester Arc Library, Arc Space 2
When: 2 pm to 4 pm Sunday,28 September
Highlight: A taste of Tang Poetry through Chinese calligraphy.
13 Participants this time! A brief history of Tang Dynasty Poetry was introduced in the workshop. Everyone was given a task to write one character within a poetry puzzle..... It is great fun!

A hands-on introduction to Chinese Calligraphy
Where: This workshop was hosted at Winchester Arc Library, Arc Space 2
When: 2 pm to 4 pm Saturday,13 September
Highlight: Introduction to the basics of Chinese calligraphy; tools, history and different scripts.
8 Participants learnt how to use the tools and practice their names in Chinese. Design Chinese round fan and bookmarks with their own calligraphy.

Where: This workshop was hosted at Winchester market in our gazebo.
When: Third Week of June (Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Sunday 22nd June)
How: I will guide you through the history of this special lacquer technique from China, and how to use the paint in water so that you can create unique beautiful patterns on your own personal fan.
Where: This workshop was hosted mainly at Winchester High Street market in our gazebo
When: Thursday (1st May); Friday (2nd May); Sunday (4th May)
How: All level welcome! You can choose from various mask panels or mini drums to paint on. Each of them has different costumes which represent different characters. I will tell you all the stories behind them and you can use your pen to bring them back to life again. Follow the colour scheme or use your creativity!
